2nd Hand Surgery…Not What We Hoped For

Taylor had surgery today to clean up and close up the wounds on her hands and fingers.  The surgery took longer than expected and we learned that the doctors needed to remove her left hand above the wrist and the right hand had all the fingers and thumb taken completely off.  Needless to say it was a shock and very, very disappointing.

  4. I am so sorry that you are going through this. I am following your story and keeping you in my thoughts. I hope today gets better.

  5. I am following your story because of Theresa Mitchell who used to be my dance teacher. My husband and I are praying for Taylor daily, and I have posted about her on FB so that many of my friends are praying too. It is an unexpected tragedy and I can’t even imagine what it would be like, but God still promises a hope and future! He is going to use this in her life and in the lives of others in an amazing way! A few years ago Nick Vujicic (http://www.lifewithoutlimbs.org/) came to our church and spoke about how God never makes a mistake, and he was born with no arms or legs. Even though this has happened to Taylor, and it’s terrible and hard, God is not done with her or her life!

    • I saw a promotional video from Nick Vujicic a year or so ago and can honestly say that it’s one of the most moving video clips I’ve ever seen. He is an inspiration and I’m certain that Taylor will bring her own unique form of inspiration to the world through this tragedy. In fact, Taylor is already providing inspiration to those who have encountered her in person, as well as to people who just happened to stumble across her story.

  6. Lord God, please continue to give Taylor courage. Thank you that You hear her prayers and are attentive to all that is happening. Surround her with Your love and ministering angels. Help her know the peace that passes understanding. Strengthen her family; bless her little one.
